What Is Cryopen Treatment?

Cryotherapy is a revolutionary cold treatment that uses fine, high-pressure jets of nitrous oxide to remove skin imperfections. It’s a safe, fast, and effective method for treating skin tags and lesions, such as cherry angioma and milia, without damaging the surrounding tissues.

The Cryopen device we use here in Stamford is an innovative technology that destroys the targeted tissue by freezing blood supply to the cells.

The Cryopen device we use at our Stamford clinic helps remove unsightly skin growths and pigmentations, leaving your skin feeling smooth and perfected.

Before & Afters

“Charli is more then amazing at what she does. She makes her treatments as painless and fast as possible (I haven’t felt a thing) and makes you feel so at home, welcome and comfortable.”

Sarah Jones

“I went to see Charli today for dermal filler in my lips and I am SO happy with the results. I’ve had them done twice before by other practitioners but that was nothing compared to how happy I am with the work done. The clinic has such a relaxed but professional vibe and the whole process was actually so much fun. I will definitely be back!”

Dinah Grace Cole

“Charli is lovely and makes all who go to her feel welcome and comfortable”

Questions about your treatment

A.

The Cryopen device uses nitrous oxide to ‘freeze’ the blood supply to the cells of your skin imperfection. The applicator is held close to the skin for up to 30 seconds at a time, which can cause a small stinging sensation that quickly passes.

A.

Yes, it safely destroys the targeted cells with no damage to the surrounding tissues. Side-effects are minimal, and no downtime is needed following treatment. The procedure is low-risk and the Cryopen device is both certified by the EU (CE marked) and FDA.

A.

This depends on the type of imperfection treated. For example, warts are caused by a virus, so if this is still present in the skin after treatment, it’s possible a wart could form again. We may split your treatment sessions to prevent the likelihood of recurrence in this instance. Non-viral growths, like skin tags, won’t return.

A.

Sometimes, surgery is an option, though this comes with greater costs and risks. It’s also not suited to all treatments – for example, verrucae. Using cryotherapy is a low-risk option, both quick and easy to carry out.
