Dermal fillers are a minimally invasive procedure. In most cases, a topical numbing agent is sufficient to desensitise the skin before treatment. For more invasive procedures, a local anaesthetic may be administered before treatment. Extremely fine needles are used in treatment (where appropriate) to minimise discomfort, and a highly trained practitioner will administer the treatment for optimum results.
